Make It - Designer of the Week

It's only the beginning of October and it already feels like winter in the Canadian Rockies! There is snow on the ground and it's supposed to go down to -16C tonight. Ugh! I'm so not ready for winter! But as the Fall season comes into full swing, so do all of the shows. My next event is at the Bearspaw Lifestyle Centre - October 23rd to 25th.

The creators of MakeIt, another show that I'm going to be at in November (Calgary) and December (Edmonton) just launched their new website. They have a blog where they showcase some of their exhibitors each week and I am the 'Designer of the Week' for this week! Check it out if you have a chance.

Portobello West - Calgary

This post is a little belated but I just wanted to share with everyone a couple of pics of my booth at Portobello West in Calgary this past September. It was the largest show that I've ever done and it was also the largest booth that I have ever had. So a lot of preparation was involved on my part to make sure that I had enough inventory for the show! Overall it was a success and I hope to be able to participate in the Spring show next year.

Make It Vancouver

Well last weekend I was in Vancouver enjoying the warmer weather and participating in the first Make It Vancouver event at the Roundhouse. Thank you to all my friends and family who came by to visit me. I appreciate all of the support! Next up is the Stop & Shop event in Edmonton May 22 to 24th. Hope to see you there!

Custom Made Bathroom Tiles

Here are a couple pictures of some custom tiles that I made this Fall for my cousin's bathroom. The tiles are much like subway tiles (the pattern layout is called 'Eames'). They are all the same width but varied in length. From as small as 2 inches to as long as 12 inches. They were created using three layers of glass. The patterned glass (Spectrum System96 Black & White Streaky) is sandwiched between white and clear glass.

Welcome to my blog!

Hello,

I have decided to create a blog as a way to communicate with my customers on a regular basis. This will be a place where you can find out about new products that I'm creating, pictures of special orders that I've made for some of my clients, upcoming shows that I will be at, information about past shows that I have participated in and pretty much anything else that comes up in my nik naks world. I hope to update information here at least once a month. Stay tuned! And thanks for everyone's support!
